Transforming lives with mental health support and therapy.
At No Limits Residential Care, our purpose is to create a safe, stable, and home-like environment where youth ages 7–17 can reset, regroup, and rebuild. We know that choosing residential care is never easy for a family—so our goal is to make sure your child is supported every minute of every day.
With 24/7 Staff, consistent routines, and a predictable daily structure, we offer a setting where youth feel secure enough to begin healing. From community involvement to therapeutic activities, our homes give children the space to learn new skills, manage their emotions, and discover strengths they may have never known they had.
We don’t just supervise—we guide, encourage, and meet each child exactly where they are. And we partner with families and guardians along the way, so no one has to navigate this journey alone.
No Limits Residential Care operates a CARF-accredited, co-ed Level 3 home dedicated to supporting youth who need consistent structure, supervision, and emotional guidance. Across both North Carolina locations, we work closely with families, guardians, DSS, and schools to promote stability and meaningful progress.

We provide a secure, structured, and predictable environment where youth can feel grounded, protected, and ready to heal. Safety—physical, emotional, and psychological—is at the center of everything we do.

We meet every youth with empathy, understanding, and respect for their lived experiences. Our team responds to behaviors through a trauma-informed lens, guiding youth with patience and compassion.

We recognize each child’s unique needs, strengths, and challenges. Through personalized interventions, coping-skills coaching, and supportive routines, we empower youth to build confidence, resilience, and emotional regulation.

We foster a culture where every youth feels valued, heard, and respected. We model positive communication, healthy boundaries, and mutual respect to help youth form stronger, healthier relationships.

We work hand-in-hand with guardians, DSS, therapists, schools, and community partners to ensure coordinated, transparent, and high-quality care that supports long-term success.

We promote responsibility, honesty, and consistent guidance while helping youth believe in their ability to rise above challenges. We see potential beyond behavior—and teach youth to see that potential in themselves.

Health in All Forms
We support each child’s mental, emotional, and physical health through structure, therapy, healthy routines, coping skills, and consistent supervision.
Education & Academic Stability
Whether through Home School First or traditional school support, we help youth stay on track academically, rebuild confidence, and learn in a calmer, supportive environment.
Personal Goals & Overcoming Challenges
We work with each youth to identify what they want to overcome—trauma, behavior patterns, emotional struggles, or confidence barriers—and guide them toward real progress and growth.

At No Limits Residential Care, many of our staff are parents themselves — so we truly understand what families want most: a place where their child is safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. We treat every youth with the same respect, patience, and protection we’d want for our own.
We are committed to providing high-quality services, whether a child is leveling up, leveling down, or transitioning home. And what makes us different is our commitment after placement ends — we continue to support youth and families even after they graduate or reunify. No child leaves alone; they leave with a team still rooting for them.
We are also one out of a select few programs in the state offering a Home School First model.
We created this option because many youth struggle in large, overstimulating classrooms, especially when managing trauma, anxiety, or emotional challenges. Home School First gives them space to stabilize, focus on their mental health, and rebuild confidence without falling behind academically.
This approach has already led to remarkable success: students who previously struggled are now earning passing grades, staying on task, and re-engaging in learning with fewer distractions and less stress. Once stabilized, youth transition back to traditional schooling stronger, more regulated, and ready to succeed.
At No Limits, families don’t just choose a program — they choose a partner, a village, and a team deeply invested in their child’s future.
“No Limits Residential Care does not discriminate against any youth or family on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or family status. We proudly provide a safe, affirming, and respectful environment for LGBTQ+ youth, ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and welcomed.”
At No Limits Residential Care, we stand firmly against all forms of bullying. Every youth who enters our program deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued. We do not tolerate behaviors that intimidate, harm, or demean others—whether verbal, physical, social, or online.
We are a trauma-informed, inclusive, and supportive environment where all youth, including LGBTQ+ youth, are protected and affirmed. Our staff actively monitors interactions, intervenes immediately when concerns arise, and provides coaching to help youth learn healthier ways to communicate and resolve conflict.
At No Limits, safety is not optional—it is our foundation.
We are committed to building a culture where kindness is expected, respect is taught, and every young person has the opportunity to grow without fear. If bullying occurs, we take action quickly, provide support to everyone involved, and reinforce the values that make our homes safe and stable.
Every child deserves a place where they can heal, learn, and be themselves.
At No Limits, we make that a promise.

Who Can Refer:
• DSS / DHHS agencies
• Therapists, case managers, and day treatment professionals
• Legal guardians or approved representatives
• Psychiatric or medical providers
How It Works:
Our goal is to make every referral smooth, timely, and youth-centered.
Parents and legal guardians can contact us directly to begin the process. We will discuss your child’s needs, review any available records, schedule a screening, and confirm whether our program is the right fit. If placement is appropriate, we complete admissions paperwork together and arrange a move-in date.
Admission depends on how quickly we receive all required documents. We cannot accept any youth into the program with an incomplete admission packet or missing mandatory paperwork.
The most important document needed for approval is the Person-Centered Plan (PCP) signature page, which must include:
You may download a blank PCP template here:
NC DHHS PCP Template (Page 3 Required)
This signed PCP page is mandatory for us to submit to the MCO for approval.
Once submitted, the MCO typically processes and returns a decision within up to 72 hours.
In addition to the PCP, the entire admission packet must be complete (including demographic information, custody/guardianship documents, medical history, medication list, and school information).
We will not schedule or accept admission until every required document is received and verified.
Once:
✔️ MCO approval is granted
✔️ The full admission packet is complete
✔️ A bed is availabl
Admission timelines vary based on screening, documentation, and bed availability. Parent-placed youth can sometimes be admitted more quickly. DSS admissions depend on team approval and required paperwork.

We know staying informed is important.
We hold a Child and Family Team (CFT) meeting once a month, where we review your child’s progress, goals, and any changes to their treatment or transition plan.
In addition to the monthly CFT, staff may provide weekly updates by phone or message to share how your child is adjusting, participating in activities, and working on their goals.
If you ever need more frequent communication, you can also request additional check-ins, and our team will work with you to find a rhythm that feels supportive.

No. Boys and girls do not share rooms at No Limits Residential Care.
Even though we are a co-ed program, we follow strict state guidelines to protect each youth’s privacy and safety. All bedrooms are separated by gender, and youth are assigned rooms based on age, supervision needs, and overall safety considerations.
To further support a safe and structured co-ed environment, we also have cameras in all common areas of the home. Cameras are located in shared spaces such as hallways, living rooms, and entry areas—never in bedrooms or bathrooms—to ensure appropriate supervision and to maintain transparency and accountability.
Our priority is always the safety, dignity, and comfort of every youth we serve.
The length of stay at No Limits Residential Care varies based on each youth’s individual needs, treatment goals, and progress. Because we are a Level III residential program, most youth stay anywhere from 6 months to 18 months.
Some children may stabilize more quickly, while others may need additional time to build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and meet treatment benchmarks.
We work closely with guardians, DSS, therapists, and treatment teams to determine the most appropriate discharge timeline, ensuring each child leaves with the tools they need to succeed in their next environment.
No Limits Residential Care serves youth ages 7–17. However, we understand that turning 18 doesn’t automatically mean a child is ready for a big transition.
In some situations, and as long as it is allowed by state rules and our license, we may be able to request an age waiver so a youth can stay a little longer after their 18th birthday. This is only considered when:
Any extension past age 18 is temporary and focused on making sure your child has a safe, stable, and well-planned next step, not a rushed discharge.
At No Limits Residential Care, your child’s day is structured, supportive, and predictable — while still leaving room for fun, creativity, and personal growth. Each day is designed to help youth feel safe, stay regulated, and build healthy routines.
Yes — No Limits Residential Care DOES work with youth who have IDD, MDD, ODD, and DMDD.
No Limits Residential Care accepts and supports youth ages 7–17 with the following diagnoses and needs:
We provide structure, step-by-step support, routines, and skill-building for youth with developmental delays, learning challenges, adaptive-skill deficits, and cognitive limitations.
We support youth with depressive symptoms, withdrawal, low motivation, sadness, and difficulty coping. Staff implement coping skills, emotional check-ins, and wellness routines in coordination with therapists and psychiatrists.
We assist youth who struggle with defiance, irritability, rule refusal, verbal conflicts, emotional control, and consistent redirection needs—using trauma-informed, positive-behavior supports.
We work with youth who experience severe mood swings, irritability, anger outbursts, shutdowns, or difficulty regulating emotions. Staff use de-escalation, structure, grounding skills, and proactive planning.

At No Limits Residential Care, we believe healing requires support from every angle. That’s why we work closely with Divine Minds Day Treatment Services to ensure each youth receives consistent clinical, educational, and behavioral support throughout their day.
Youth who qualify for Day Treatment participate in therapeutic groups, academic support, mental health skill-building, and behavior interventions while still receiving 24/7 structure and supervision at No Limits.
This partnership allows us to provide true wraparound services, meaning support follows the child everywhere—not just inside our home.
